Just as lingzhi (reishi mushroom) was regarded as the legendary immortality herb in ancient times, NMN has become the modern anti-aging sensation. Recently, it has sparked widespread attention and high sales. But does NMN really slow down aging? What are its remarkable benefits? Let’s break it down.
Thanks to Harvard Medical School professor David Sinclair, research has identified a key element for maintaining a youthful body: β-NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide). NMN is the precursor to NAD+, which is derived from vitamin B3. NAD+ is an essential coenzyme in the body, playing a critical role in DNA repair, providing energy to cells, and maintaining metabolism—key factors for keeping the body young and healthy.
However, NAD+ molecules are too large to be effectively supplemented directly. Professor Sinclair discovered a shortcut: supplementing with NMN, which the body can convert into NAD+, thereby boosting NAD+ levels. He even claims that continuous NMN supplementation could make you biologically 20 years younger.

NMN can be converted into NAD+, so by supplementing with NMN, we can help the body increase NAD+ levels. This enhances cellular DNA repair, boosts overall bodily functions, and helps slow down the aging process.
NMN naturally exists in the body. Before the age of 25, NMN is abundant, keeping NAD+ levels high. However, after 25, NMN levels start to decline, causing NAD+ levels to drop gradually. By the age of 50, NAD+ levels are approximately half of what they were at 20, leading to slower bodily functions and the onset of various signs of aging.

What Happens if NAD+ Levels Are High or Low?

NMN is naturally present in various foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood—for example, broccoli, spinach, blueberries, avocado, nuts, milk, beef, and shrimp. However, the actual NMN content in these foods is extremely low. To meet your body’s daily NMN needs solely through diet, you would need to eat impractical amounts—like 21 kilograms of broccoli or drink 1,000 liters of milk. This makes it difficult to get sufficient NMN from regular meals. The solution? NMN supplements, which are now widely available in the market. Studies have shown that orally taken NMN can be absorbed by the body within 10 minutes, reaching peak levels in the blood, and within 30 minutes, it can significantly increase NAD+ levels in cells.

It’s important to note that taking NMN supplements doesn’t automatically mean your body absorbs them. Regular NMN molecules are relatively large and cannot easily pass through cell membranes, making absorption difficult. After passing through stomach acid and the intestines, only a small fraction of NMN actually reaches the cells. Typically, the absorption rate is just 10%-40%. Imagine spending $1,000 on a bottle of NMN but only absorbing 10%—effectively, you’re only using $100 worth. Clearly, that’s not cost-effective.
When choosing an NMN supplement, it’s better to select one that is easily absorbed, such as Liposomal NMN, which uses Nobel Prize-winning delivery technology. Liposomes are composed of a double phospholipid membrane with excellent biocompatibility, allowing them to penetrate and merge with cell membranes.
Encapsulating NMN within Liposome vesicles protects it from stomach acid and acts like a courier, safely delivering the NMN directly into cells. This enables an absorption rate of up to 90%, allowing the body’s organs to effectively convert NMN into NAD+, maximizing its benefits and ensuring your supplement is truly worth the investment.

1. How much to take?
NMN+18000 is just the right amount!
A Japanese study showed that a daily NMN intake of 250–600 mg is safe and well-tolerated. NMN products on the market often indicate total NMN content per bottle, such as NMN10000, NMN15000, or NMN18000. For example, a 60-capsule bottle labeled NMN18000 contains 300 mg NMN per capsule. Taking two capsules daily provides an optimal dose—not too much, not too little. Compared to NMN15000 (250 mg per capsule), NMN18000 works faster and offers stronger cellular repair effects.
2. When to take?
Many think NMN should only be taken after age 40–50, but it’s beneficial to start in your 20s or 30s. Supplementing while young helps maintain optimal bodily functions and delays aging. NMN can be taken with meals, and it’s recommended to consult a doctor or registered dietitian before starting.
3. How to take?
Combine NMN with the following nutrients for the “antioxidant golden combination,” which can produce synergistic effects:
An antioxidant enzyme that, together with NMN, enhances antioxidant effects, reduces oxidative damage to organs, and improves skin elasticity and radiance.
Activates the longevity gene Sirtuin 1, a key element in promoting the conversion of NMN into NAD+.
A natural antioxidant that supports anti-inflammatory repair, boosts neural and liver function, and further enhances immune system performance when combined with NMN.
Fights free radical damage, supports mitochondrial energy production, improves skin elasticity, and further boosts overall energy metabolism.
NMN is a health supplement, not a miracle cure. Its true benefits are best experienced through consistent, long-term use—similar to exercise: a single workout won’t instantly give you a perfect body, but persistent effort will gradually show results. Some people may notice subtle changes earlier, such as feeling more energetic or experiencing fewer colds. These small improvements may be attributed to NMN, but keep in mind that effects can vary from person to person.
